LAMBS Dial-a-Ride is a community based transport scheme which supplements commercial 'bus services by providing a door to door service for local journeys.

You will travel in either a 15 seater minibus, the fare for which will be confirmed at the time of booking, or a 5 seater minibus operated for Suffolk County Council under the "Wheels within wheels" scheme, charged at 27p per mile. Both have easy access and a lift for wheelchairs and those unable to use the steps.

You must be a member of LAMBS use this service, and seat belts must be used at all times.

USERS

Users can be of any age but must live in one of the ten parishes covered by the scheme & be a member of the scheme. An escort may travel with each passenger if necessary.

Bildeston, Brent Eleigh, Brettenham, Chelsworth, Hitcham, Kettlebaston, Lavenham, Milden, Monks Eleigh, Preston St Mary, Swingleton Green, Thorpe Morieux and Wattisham

USES

Shopping, visiting friends & relatives, hospitals, doctors, chemists, opticians & most local journeys.

Charges:

Destinations within our area from £ 4.00      Destinations outside our area from £ 5.00
